WALLETS AND SECURITY

Keys, seed phrases and staying safe.

HOW DO YOU KEEP CRYPTO SAFE IN A WALLET?

A wallet does not hold coins — it holds the keys that control them. Protect the keys and you protect the funds.

A seed phrase of twelve or twenty-four words can regenerate every key in a wallet. Write it down offline, never type it into a website, and never share it with anyone who asks — support staff included.

Hardware wallets keep keys on a device that never touches the internet. For long-term holdings they are the standard. Mobile wallets are fine for spending amounts.

Most losses are not clever hacks; they are phishing links, fake apps and malicious token approvals. Slow down before you sign.

Key points

  • Seed phrase = everything
  • Hardware for savings, mobile for spending
  • Verify URLs and apps
  • Review token approvals
